| It all began in 1916 when Chris Lallatin bought the
business from George Harrison. The picture to the right is one
of the earliest pictures that we have. The actual location of
the bulding is unknown. The picture is not believed to be the
current Sander's Furniture building on Main Street because
Lallatin's did not move into that building until October of
1949. This building was definately occupied by Lallatin's
Market in 1919. The building to the right of Lallatin's Market
appears to be Gem ????. |

|
| This picture was taken after
October of 1949 when Lallatin's Market moved to 148 South Main
(currently Sander's Furniture). To the far left is the produce
counter. The fresh meat counter is not visible. It is to
the immediate left of the photographer. |

| This clip was taken from the
Caribou County Sun in 1957. The title of the clip is
"Attractive New Awning Adorns Lallatin's Market." |

|
| This is a shot of the east half
of the current building. It was erected in 1962. The
west half of the current building was built in1973. The
picture was taken in 1969. |
